    Training Overview

    What You'll Learn

By the end of this training, you will be able to:

    • Differentiate between avoidance rooted in anxiety/OCD and avoidance rooted in sensory needs, executive functioning challenges, or drive for autonomy.
    • Recognize the unique self-trust injuries common in Autistic and ADHD individuals, and how OCD exploits these vulnerabilities.
    • Identify when withdrawal is maladaptive versus when it is a strategic, adaptive response for energy and sensory management.
    • Apply a more nuanced, neurodivergent-affirming approach to supporting clients in building both self-trust and agency.

    What's Included

    • 100-minute on-demand video training.
    • 20-minute deep dive into the lived experience at the intersection of Autism, ADHD, and OCD.
    • 4 worksheets based on the course content that can be used as stand-alone client tools.
    • Printable handouts, including: DSM-5 Criteria in Pictures for Autism, ADHD, and OCD.

    • Written transcripts for accessibility and easy reference.
    • Accreditation for 1.25 CPD hours with a CPD Certificate of Completion.

    Intended Audience

    This training is ideal for:

    • Psychologists, therapists, and social workers in private practice or agency settings.
    • Clinicians working with adults navigating complex clinical presentations.
    • Professionals seeking a more neurodiversity-affirming, identity-centered approach to care.
    • While this is a clinical training designed for providers, late-identified or self-questioning neurodivergent adults have also found this training meaningful.

    Course Level

This training would be considered an intermediate level. It is ideal for clinicians with a general background in mental health who are newer to understanding the intersections of autism, ADHD, anxiety, and OCD.
