    About This Training

    • Designed for neurodivergent-affirming therapists early in their sensory learning, this toolkit includes two core trainings (Developing a Sensory Lens & Beyond the Feelings Wheel), plus ready-to-use client tools and a comprehensive sensory regulation workbook.

You’ll walk away with the clarity, language, and resources to better support your neurodivergent clients—and a deeper understanding of how the sensory connects to identity, emotion, and inner experience.

    Training Overview

    What You'll Learn

By the end of this training, you will be able to:

    • Talk about sensory needs with clarity and confidence in ways that feel accessible to your clients.
    • Offer concrete tools to support your clients’ regulation, self-advocacy, and sense of safety.
    • Spot signs of interoceptive disconnect and alexithymia, and know how to respond with compassion, not confusion.
    • Use simple strategies to explore sensory and interoceptive experiences in therapy.
    • Understand why sensory work is psychological work, and how it can unlock deeper emotional insight.
    • Shift from focusing on “emotional regulation” to supporting whole-body attunement.

    What's Included

    • Two on-demand trainings: Developing a Sensory Lens (60 min) and Beyond the Feelings Wheel (60+ min).
    • The Sensory Workbook, with licensing rights to share with clients.
    • Six printable clinical tools, including worksheets and visual guides, that help clients explore sensory experiences, emotional awareness, and interoception.
    • Slide deck PDFs with NDI’s signature high-visual design.
    • Written transcripts for accessibility and easy reference.
    • Accreditation for 2 CPD hours with a CPD Certificate of Completion.

    Intended Audience

    This training is ideal for:

    • Therapists who provide neurodivergent-affirming therapy but aren’t sure where to start with sensory work.
    • Clinicians who have heard of interoception but aren’t sure how to make it clinically relevant.
    • Professionals curious about how alexithymia shows up in therapy and how to support it.
    • Anyone seeking simple, affirming tools they can use with clients right away.
    • While this is a clinical training designed for providers, late-identified or self-questioning neurodivergent adults have also found this training meaningful.

    Course Level

This training would be considered an intermediate level. It is ideal for neurodivergent-affirming clinicians who are newer to exploring sensory and interoceptive awareness with clients.
